Over 16,430 convener seats in the engineering stream remained unfilled after the first phase of the Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance (TS-EAMCET) 2019 web counselling. The seat allotment for candidates, who participated in the web counselling, was completed on Wednesday. Overall, 20,130 convener seats, including 16,432 engineering, 3,193 B.Pharmacy and 505 Pharm D seats, remained vacant. Of those unfilled seats in the engineering stream, only two were in a university engineering college and the remaining in private institutions. According to details released by the Commissionerate of Technical Education, 93,943 candidates qualified and 53,934 attended the certificate verification process. Of them, 52,628 exercised web options seeking a seat. In the first phase of web counselling, 69,259 seats, including 65,444 engineering, 3,280 B Pharmacy and 535 Pharm D seats, were available. Of the total seats, 49,012 were allotted to candidates in the engineering stream, 87 in B. Pharmacy and 30 in Pharm D.


Among the managements, 99.93 per cent engineering seats out of 3,071 in 14 university colleges were allotted and only two seats were vacant. In case of 169 private engineering colleges, of 62,373 available seats, 45,943 were allotted to candidates and 16,430 remained vacant. The B. Pharmacy course witnessed 32.50 per cent seat allotment out of 80 seats in three university colleges whereas in 115 private pharmacy colleges, only 1.90 per cent of 3,200 seats were allotted. Similarly, in 54 private colleges that offer Pharm D programme, 30 out of 535 seats were allotted.


In the first phase of web counselling, 3,499 candidates were not allotted seats as they failed to give requisite options.Forty-nine colleges, including 13 university and 36 private engineering colleges, received 100 per cent seat allotment. Candidates who received seat allotment should download the allotment order, pay tuition fee and self-report on https://tseamcet.nic.in on or before July 15.The provisional seat allotment order would stand cancelled if candidates fail to pay the tuition fee or self-report through online on or before the deadline.
